Healthy granola bars never tasted so good!
It’s one thing to want your kids to enjoy a healthy snack, it’s an entirely different thing to actually get them too. I have been on the loosing side of “battle of the snacking” for over a decade. When I found this easy granola bar recipe…. that surprisingly tasted even better than it looks, I was dumbfounded. I mean, it’s not that often I have a legit #momwin!
Not only are these yummy treats packed with protein, they are a quick solve for the sweet tooth. Packed with the sweetness of agave and milk chocolately chips. These super charged, protein packed, guilt free goodies are gunna help you change the game and win the war my friends. (The snack war that is.)
Whatcha gunna need
1/2c Superfood blend (Found in most grocers, I bought mine at Walmart.)
1 3/4c raw almonds
1c organic agave or raw honey
1c organic ev coconut oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt
4c rolled oats
1c shredded coconut, unsweetened
1c milk chocolate chips
1/2c lightly salted pumpkin seeds or sesame seeds
1/4c chia seeds
line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a food processor on high speed combine almonds, agave, melted coconut oil, vanilla and salt until very smooth. Be patient this may take about 3-5 minutes.
In a separate bowl, combine all other ingredients. Stir dry ingredients into your smooth almond mixture. Once combined, spread out on your parchment lined cookie sheet and flatten with a spoon.
**It helps to rub firmed coconut oil onto the back of the spoon so the ingredients don’t stick.
Let set for 30 minutes at room temperature or refrigerate for 10 minutes, cut into desired shapes and enjoy!
